Welcome Hunter Michael Tillman

On Monday November 29th 2010 we said hello to the newest member of our family-
Hunter Michael Tillman!
The day started off with the L&D (labor & delivery) calling and telling my sister they were pushing her induction back a day. Typically this wouldn't have been a problem but Keisha was 3 days over due and had been having contractions off and on for over a week. Needless to say she was not happy with that decision.

Here is Keisha shopping at wal-mart at midnight on her due date (Thanksgiving Day)

A quick call to her doctor got her an appt to be evaluated and to see what could be done to get him delivered ASAP. I officially became the "Aunt on Duty" and took Isabella to school. Keisha's doctor agreed that 3 days over due was long enough and over road L&Ds decision to wait a day. Keisha happily complied with the doctors orders and went to L&D to get induced.  I learned what it would be like to be a single mom (ok so I had it way easier than real life single moms but I honestly can say single motherhood is NOT the life for me). I did the school run, put in a few hours at work and happily took most of the day off to hang with Bella and wait for "baby brother" to arrive. We played, took a nap (I didn't get much sleep but Bella did) and watched some tv. Around 8:30pm I got a text from my brother-in-law telling me to bring Bella to the hospital.  So we gathered up our stuff & headed to the hospital.
Coming in at 8lb 12oz and 21 inches (I think he was 21in) long was Hunter Michael Tillman

As soon as Keisha saw him I think she forgave him for being 3 days over due.
Isabella loved her "baby brother" from the moment her daddy took her in the room to meet him.  She promptly told her mom to "QUIT HOGGIN HIM!!!"Guess Keisha shouldn't have tried to nurse him before Isabella got to hold him ;-D
To say she loved her baby brother would be a gross understatement!

I LOVE being an Aunt :)

Playing with her "Big Sister Gift" (play dough) because she was to excited to sleep.

I took Isabella over to Nanna & Papa K's for a "cation" while mommy & daddy were at the "hostipul". She enjoyed being at their house but asked several times to go see baby brother. In fact we hadn't even made it to the car that night and she was asking when she could see Hunter again.  So we went and had lunch with them the next day.
who wouldn't instantly fall in love with this face?

She loved to hold Hunter but it made Daddy a little nervous (even with him helping her)

That smile says it all!
At some point during the week Isabella went into "mom" mode..... She found one of Aunt Kelli's dolls and carried it around the house acting like it was her baby.  It was an added bonus that the doll just happened to be Boo from Montster Inc (one of the favorite movies).  She made her "go ninight" and insisted she get her own plate of food at the table. When I didn't put enough food on Boo's plate Isabella promptly added more. Ok that last part might have been a ploy to not eat all her dinner....

The day Hunter came home from the hospital I once again happily left work early to help out.  Big sister Isabella liked having him at home but wasn't used to the crying yet. She would yell "Baby Brother Stop That!" or ask what was wrong.  Hunter decided it was ok being at home and settled in for a nice long nap. At that point Mommy decided she need a nap to0 (daddy had already decided he needed more sleep). So I got the wonderful duty of Hunter holding :)
so sweet! I just love sleeping babies :)
I love how he sucks in bottom lip in when he sleeps.

North Carolina or bust

Back in October I went to NC to see my sister & her family! I had so much fun getting to hang out with the kid :)

We went to the "pumpkin patch" with Josiah's class where we decorated small pumpkins, and went on a hayride.

I got to watch Chandler play soft ball. She's pretty good to, she got a few hits and made it on base :)

It was a little cold at the games but we managed to stayed warm....

At the last game the boys went to play on the playground by the ball field.  At one point Garrison came over and said there were "mean boys" at the playground.  Aunt Kimber came to the rescue and went to the playground to see what was going on.  Much to my dismay there was a bully :(  The boys were fine but I was so upset I couldn't sleep that night!! We kept the boys with us for the rest of the game and thankfully mommy's phone kept them entertained.

We took a drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway to look at the changing leaves.... They weren't as great this year, but it was better than the green to brown we have here in Austin.

We stopped at an overlook to enjoy the weather and take a break from the car. The view was beautiful!

As we sat there a worm crawled onto my shoe-

We had fun watching it crawl around. The boys kept a close eye on it and Chandler made sure no one stepped on it.
One of the afternoons I was there Kara, Bennett & I went to the Kersey Valley  Zipline.  It was a lot of fun, a little long, but fun! I should have pictures of this but I don't think they have sent them to my sister yet.  If I get them I'll add them later. The rest of the trip was a blur of running errands, playing with the kids and carving a pumpkin!
As much as they fight they really do love each other!
Yummy Yummy food in NC :)

Garrison got a new pacifier and wanted to share them with Garrison

He LOVES Pumpkins!

Chandler realized I was leaving while she was a swim practices so she was quite sad during our last book reading.

After I got home I realized I didn't get any good pictures with all three kids at the same time :(  (we'll have to make sure we get some at Easter) I wish NC & TX were close, I miss them so much!
